In today's society, people utilize various electronic media and computers in numerous aspects of their lives. Criminals also use a host of electronic media and
computers in facilitation of their unlawful activities. Modern and current technology permits suspects to commit crimes internationally and remotely, obtain intelligence
and conduct counter-intelligence with near anonymity. Instant communication and electronic mail provides a venue for communication between suspects as well as
victims.

As such, computers and other electronic media can be used to commit crimes, store evidence of crimes and provide information on suspects and victims.

 

Preservation of Fragile Digital Evidence by First Responders:

According to Homeland Security, the following is the protocol for evidence preservation of data storage:

Disk-Store inserts store 1 to 8 disks per page.

They are manufactured from 7.5 mil industrial strength vinyl, designed, with special embossing, to make sure that disks don't stick. Your valuable disks will be protected, from damage, by the high-quality vinyl pockets. The openings even have locking straps to keep disks secure, no matter what position the binder is in.

Disk-store disk storage inserts are manufactured in the USA from heavy-duty vinyl.

All inserts are made from 7.5-mil industrial weight vinyl. Each CD/DVD slot has a locking strap to insure that the CDs are secure. DVD inserts have an oversized pocket to hold the liner notes. All inserts are 3-hole punched for standard binders.

Our new product, for CD and DVD storage, includes an index card pocket for each disk. The contents, of each disk, can be written in plain English or coded according to case numbers.

Each heavy-duty insert can store 4 CDs or DVDs with index cards. The new insert is manufactured from 8.0 mil industrial strength vinyl, designed with the special embossming, to make sure that disks don't stick.
